02Services

Anything irrigation. Plus the two things that break it.

Sprinkler systems, the backflow assemblies that protect your water supply, and the drainage that keeps a Florida yard from turning into a pond. One contractor for all three means nobody points at somebody else.

03How the job is priced

We don’t just fix the head you called about. Every zone gets run, so the system leaves working, tested, and priced before we start.

No hourly meter

One number for the repair described, agreed before anything is touched. The invoice matches the quote.

No surprise line items

If opening the ground turns up something else, you hear about it and approve it first.

No dispatcher

The person who quotes it is the person who does it. If something isn’t right afterwards, you call Colby.

04How a visit goes

Four steps. No surprises on the invoice.

Step 01

Call, or text a photo

Colby answers within the hour. A photo of the head, the wet spot or the utility letter usually tells him what he is walking into.

Step 02

A firm date and a firm price

He comes out, runs the system, and quotes the job before touching anything. Free within the service area.

Step 03

Fixed and tested, zone by zone

Repair, then every zone runs while he watches coverage and pressure. Many repairs are finished the same visit.

Step 04

You see it run

Before he leaves you see the system working and know what was done. The invoice matches the quote.

05About the owner

One owner. One truck. Every call answered by the person doing the work.

MacGregor Sprinkler is Colby MacGregor, an irrigation contractor in Middleburg who started his own company in 2025 because he thought the trade could be done with straighter answers and fewer callbacks. First year in business, said plainly. A handful of public reviews rather than two hundred, and every reason to make sure yours is a good one.

06Reviews

Five stars on Google and Yelp, and the same two words in every review: responsive and fair.

“Highly recommend Colby! He was quick to respond, gave me a firm date for service, communicated well, and charged a fair price. He diagnosed and fixed our sprinkler problem in just a couple of hours. Since I’m managing the property from out of state, I really appreciated how easy and seamless the entire process was. It’s hard to find someone dependable, and Colby definitely earned my trust.”
Mahalia C.Yelp review, June 2026

09Is this the right call?

A good fit for most yards. Not every one.

Call Colby if…

  • Something is broken and you want it fixed, not upsold
  • Somebody else installed the system and you have no idea where the valves are
  • You got a backflow letter from the utility with a deadline on it
  • A pool or a remodel is about to cut through the irrigation
  • You are in Clay, Duval, St. Johns or Nassau County

Probably not the right fit if…

  • You are outside Northeast Florida
  • You want the cheapest possible patch and don’t mind if it holds
  • You need a full landscape architect’s plan before any work
  • You want a crew of six, not one owner who does the job himself
10Before you call

The questions people actually ask.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. Colby comes out, looks at the system, and gives you a price before any work starts. Within the service area there is no charge for the quote.

What do you charge by the hour?

Nothing, because the work is priced by the job. You get one number for the repair described, and that is the number on the invoice. If opening the ground turns up something else, you hear about it and approve it before it is touched.

Can you come any time of the day?

Yes. Regular hours are 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, seven days a week, and after-hours emergencies are still answered. A main line that won’t stop running or a backflow that’s flooding the yard does not wait until Monday.

Who actually shows up?

Colby MacGregor. MacGregor Sprinkler is owner-operated, so the person who answers your call is the person who quotes the job and does the work. You are not handed to a dispatcher or a rotating crew.

Do you work on systems you didn’t install?

Yes, that is most of the work. Residential systems built on Rain Bird, Hunter, Toro, Orbit and similar components are all serviced, along with the controllers, valves, wiring and backflow assemblies that go with them.

Where are you based, and how far do you go?

Middleburg, in Clay County. Regular service covers Clay, Duval, St. Johns and Nassau counties, Orange Park, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs, Jacksonville and the beaches, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, Fernandina Beach and Yulee among them. If you are near an edge, call and ask.
